Terms of use

These terms cover the Igama app and this website, both made by Crafted Bits. Using either one means you accept them.

The game is free

Igama costs nothing to play, and every language and level is open to everyone. Hints are paid for by watching a short ad. There is no subscription and nothing is held back behind a paywall. We may change that in future, and if we do we will say so before it happens.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. One account per person. Do not sign up on behalf of someone else.

Chat rooms

Each language has a room, and it is a shared space. Igama has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, violent, or a slur against any person or group. Do not post links, contact details or advertising. Nothing you post may be someone else's to post.

Breaking this costs you the message, and it may cost you the account. We remove content that breaks the rule and we terminate the accounts of people who post it. This is not a warning system: a single serious post is enough, and we do not owe an explanation before acting.

Reporting and blocking

Every message in every room carries Report and Block on a press and hold.

Reporting hides the message from your rooms straight away and sends it to a moderator. We review every report and act on it (removing the content, the account, or both) within 24 hours of it being filed.

Blocking needs no decision from us and waits for nobody. A blocked player's messages leave your rooms at once and nothing they post afterwards reaches you; nothing you post reaches them either. You can undo it at any time under Settings, Blocked players.

The words

Word lists, artwork, the name and the look of the app belong to Crafted Bits. You may share your result grid anywhere you like, that is the point of it. You may not extract the word lists or rebuild the game from them.

What we do not promise

The app is provided as it is. We try to keep it working, and we cannot promise it never breaks, never loses a streak, or is available every minute of every day. Where the law allows it, we are not liable for losses arising from using it.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We can close an account that breaks these terms.
